 here is what i add in configure:
     echo before .....................................
     ls -l /dev/null
     gcc conftest.c -o /dev/null > /dev/null 2> /dev/null
     echo after........................................
     ls -l /dev/null
 
 and  
     bmake configure >out 2>&1
     
 Here is the log part:
