 I was expecting a problem with this when I didn't find a predefined
 variable for kmem in any of the mk/ files. Should I create a patch that
 adds KMEMGROUP to all the mk/platform/*.mk files and sets it to
 ${ROOT_GROUP} on platforms which we don't know about?
