That's what pkgsrc will be installing (from my distfiles directory).
These are i586 versions, I assume the one that matters is the 2.3.5-40 thing.

Just making uname (and sysctl) do the right thing - perhaps - getting it
inherited down the tree correctly, trickier (there may be, and I have had
in the past) several different sets of processes running using likver with
different version settings.
