I dusted off and nuked it from orbit (it's the only way to be sure) and
started over from scratch. When it got to "gobject-introspection", nothing
segfaulted, although it still spewed messages about syntax errors.
I suspect I had something even earlier in the dependency chain built
with GCC 5.3 that wasn't replaced and it didn't play nice building stuff
with GCC 5.4.
The amd64 build host is proceeding. The i386 build host(s) will receive
the same treatment when they return to building for -HEAD. Quite likely
the same will be needed for sparc-current systems as well, as they last
built packages with GCC 4.8.5 (as soon as baseline userland doesn't
segfault--will check the results of the -O1 hack soon).
