It emits three results:
freetype2>=2.4.5 freetype2>=2.1.3 freetype2>=2.1.3

Can I find out where the first dependency is coming from?

Hmm.  This is a 7.1_STABLE system and pkgsrc is 2017Q1. I don't remember
when 7.1 was released, but I wouldn't think that it is much too old for
2017Q1.

No. There's nothing.
