Well, with a NetBSD 9.1/i386 installation and an up to date pkgsrc
tree, I'm not able to duplicate this. I tried a sample movie trailer
in H.264 with AAC HE audio, and that worked fine. Logging was:
VLC media player 3.0.11 Vetinari (revision 3.0.11-0-gdc0c5ced72)
[b7ee1070] main libvlc: Running vlc with the default interface. Use
'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.

(Maybe there's a difference somewhere between NetBSD 8 and 9 that's
influencing this. Or it's something else entirely, not sure.)
