Thanks. I think, when pbulk.sh generates mk.conf in /usr/pbulk/etc, it
might want to add PACKAGES among other variables, to preempt any
confusion.

As such I did not face issues related to this. When I was facing the
issues I had not built anything using pbulk bmake. It appears, my issues
had more to do with a convoluted ccache setup, which is now improved by
using pbulk ccache. Since then over 200 packages are built, further in
progress, with no problem.
