Thanks. Quite likely. I use ratpoison with quite aggressive 'rudeness'
setting (one that prevents most of the popups from stealing the focus
while you might be - say - typing, particularly something like Enter key
when a popup is asking you whether you want to reboot!). Will experiment
and share the observations.

But I'd still say it's weird on the OS' part (or hardware's?). If the
focus didn't switch to the player, it should not grab the screen.
