I don't know, I haven't heard about hardware trouble with 7450 CPUs,  
and the one in my iBook works just fine ( although thanks to lack of  
a big external cache it's not noticeably faster than a single 500MHz  
7400 with 1MB cache even though it runs at 800MHz )

The PSU should be a bog standard ATX part, IIRC most G4s shipped with  
250W PSUs so you probably have something suitable sitting on a shelf  
gathering dust ;)
