r128fb vs genfb

Hi all,

I have a Rage128 installed in an APUS 2000. I thought I could compile
out genfb and leave r128fb installed, but then the kernel complains
about no console being available, but boots up in a nicer resolution to
that point.

If I leave genfb in, then the console boots up in 640x480 mode, but
boots successfully.

What's the right procedure here for leaving r128fb in and booting
successfully ?
