Jun Ebihara sent email to NetBSD-advocacy about a Zsun Wifi card
reader in 2015 stating that the device is WIP.
I bought one to play with. I was hoping to see what the stock
firmware/software could do but it's been pretty unimpressive so far.
If I get time I will look into hacking it to do something useful.
There are some pretty cool devices showing up, mostly ARM though.
MikroTik has some pretty cheap routers (under $30) using MIPS that
could be fun to hack. They support netbooting from the boot loader. I
never tried it though.
