Switching to Xorg

I'm trying to build wip/kde4, however I think it needs packages that only work 
with Xorg. So if I switch to Xorg

1) Is Xorg's sunffb driver much worse than XFree86?

2) If above is true, then can Xorg use compatible PC video card on Ultra 10 if 
I plug it into a spare PCI slot?
