Odd. I don't recall having such problems with Prolific adapters on
penguin-OS (but my experience is limited to gNewSense on a Lemote
YeeLoong). Penguin-OS can drive a KeySpan USA-19HS just fine and it
will send a BREAK when so instructed.
Prolific adapters send BREAK just fine under NetBSD.
