perl 5.14.2 and -g on VAX
Hi,
I had problems compiling perl 5.14.1 before. I've since also tried perl
5.14.2 which fails in the same place:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/pkgsrc/lang/perl5/work/perl-5.14.2 ./perl -f -Ilib
pod/buildtoc --build-toc -q
[1] Segmentation fault (core dumped) LD_LIBRARY_PATH=...
Now for the strange part. I tried compiling with symbols (-g), and it
succeeded! How, why, I have no idea.
Does anyone know why compiling a binary with symbols would change it
enough that one would dump core and the other wouldn't?
Thanks,
John Klos
