I too have been appreciative and amazed
buy the hard work Johnny and others have
put into this port over the years.

It occurs to me that perhaps instead
of letting the port die it would feel
good to pick a version/fork that seems
to work well on all the various hardware
flavors, polish it up for posterity
the best we can and then declare victory.

The hardware is mostly fixed in time,
perhaps the software should be too.
At very least it might be easier to
fix occasional bugs and port random
tools if we weren't also fighting
changes from -current.

Of course in this case "we" is
"mostly other people", and perhaps my
expectations are too limited - I'm just
happy when my old RD52 disks spin up
for an occasional stroll down memory
lane... appreciate everyone's efforts
making that stroll possible.
