It's been a while since I've been able to revisit this, but here's where

Saved the file created with -E...

amd64 on NetBSD 5.

I can try; to date, I've never had the occasion to try an -m68060 set for 
anything but Amiga. I can say, though, that -m68040 works 100% for mac68k. 
I'll try an -m68060 compiled Atari set.
