Re: port-amd64/58982: NetBSD 10.1 install image (amd64) failed to boot on J3455-ITX board (ASRock)

The following reply was made to PR port-amd64/58982; it has been noted by GNATS.

 HI again,

with the patch to accept other steppings too, the system is coming up
 now.

There are still some error messages related to CPU initialization, but I
was able to install from install-image and boot from hard-disk.

additional failures reported during boot: (all typed in - no copy paste
 from vga monitor ...)

for all four CPU there is this message:
acpicpu<n>: autoconfiguration error: failed to add C-state: AE_SUPPORT
this message comes twice for each CPU before the C1 setup is printed for
CPU0 and before the termal-sensor information is printed for the others.

acpifan0: autoconfiguration error: failed to initialize
this is for CPU0 - and there is currently no fan connected ...

ichsmb0 at cpi0 dev 31 function 1: Intel Apollo Lake SMBus (rev. 0x0d)
 pci_intr_map: no mapping for pin A (line=ff)
 cannot set up cpi_intr_handle_t
 ichsmb0: polling

i915drmkms0: notice: Failed to load DMC firmware
 i915/btx_dmx_ver1_07.bin .Disabling runtime power management.
i915drmkms0: notice: RC6 and powersaving disabled by BIOS
the order of these two lines differ between boot from usb-stick and
 sata-disk ...
BIOS setup for grafic is default - nothing changed there.

So the starting problem is solved now.
I think this can to into next release.

No idea if the C-state setup problem is serious or not and/or if ther
should be new PR for this.

To the other thing reported in this one - the setup issues on i386:
The first one - failed to copy includes in tools compilation - cannot be
reprocued anymore. (same system setup, same source tree - simply gone
 now)
The compilation of 'release' is still running. In case the
sysinstmsgs.fr failure will come up, I will create new PR for that one.

 Regards,

 Wolfgang
