SPEED: Linux or NetBSD?

Hi,

I've got NetBSD 1.1 installed on my ECS Amiga 2000 '030-50 (1 MB chip, 8
MB 32-bit fast) and X seems to be quite slow.  Can anyone tell me if Linux
runs X faster and if it supports ECS?  Also, is there anything that I
would sacrifice/gain by switching from NetBSD to Linux?  Thanks in
